You should favor a neutral one (black, white and grey) mixed with a true color. For example, a red top with a black bottom, a blue bottom with a white top… You know what we mean, right? Let’s continue! You can match a printed pattern bikini with a solid color BUT only if the solid color matches a color within the print. In other words, you should find the solid color in your printed pattern. If it is the exact same shade, even better!

We recommend you to avoid mixing two different printed patterns together, it is usually not a good match. A wild animal pattern with an hawaiian one?...Nope. They can rarely bring a nice result, so it is better to remove this idea from your mind.
Do not try to mix 2 different shades of the same solid color to create your bikini set. You thought that colors that are very similar can look alike and go unnoticed? Well, sorry, but you were wrong. It is way better to mix two true different colors, such as : pink and black, blue and white, coral and black… Two shades of the same color rarely look good together.
We keep going? We recommend you not to mix and match long sleeves full coverage to practice surf with a cheeky mini bikini bottom. A lot of options are available, but these 2 styles are too different to match. You should prefer a shorty or a classic pant to match with your long sleeves top.
Last one? Avoid as much as possible to mix two extremely different materials together. It is better that your top and bottom are made of the same fabric.
